Jersey Girl is written in the artist's handwriting and cut out of scrap plastic. These two words measure in total 20 inches long combined by 8 inches high at the tallest letter point and are 1/16 of an inch thick.
Delicately scripted, these recycled words are made entirely out of scrap plastic sheets that are salvaged and were underneath big orders of Plexiglas to prevent them from being scratched.
This word is perfectly imperfect and any small mark is part of its magical story of reuse.
From the Artist:
I am a Jersey girl.
Summers at the Jersey shore. Fresh picked Jersey tomatoes for breakfast. And Bruce Springsteen was the background music to everything that mattered. How could I not script Jersey Girl?
